About Melanie D. Matthews

Melanie D. Matthews is the CEO and founder of Literacy at Work, an Educational Consultant and Coach company that helps educators master the art and craft of coaching so they can be a more confident and courageous coach. After spending 16 years working as an educational consultant and coach locally, regionally, and nationally, Melanie knows what motivates coaches and how to support and address their needs.


Melanie D. Matthews has been a featured author for her book Inside Instructional Coaching on a social media platform and has spoken at various conferences including the Michigan Reading Association annual conference, the Literacy For All annual conference, and the Michigan Educational Association's Leadership Conference. In addition, Melanie hosts her annual learning opportunity, the Mind Your Coaching Institute.


Melanie holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Marygrove College and a MA in Education from the University of Michigan. She resides in Michigan and spends her time honing her craft, being an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and making memories with her family.
